Senior from HPB are organising orientation week this coming friday,saturday and sunday.So basically it will include some ice-breaking activities,sports,introduction to the modules and of course,activities that can help us adapt to this brand new environment ,make us both pysically and mentally prepared.Hopefully this will work for me,because i am still not very used to the new environment.The programme that they planned sound quite interesting ,and I look foward to gain some exiting,awesome experience this coming weekend with all my course mates!
The first day of big bang is on 10 July ,We were divided in groups before activities start.Our first task is to create our own group name,slogan and a structure,then we were asked to present our production,The judge panel evaluated our performance by team work spirit.So it is essential for us to know our group members' name and get involve in the group's activities because the judges will randomly pick someone to ask questions.The panel tend to choose foreign student in order to examine their level of participation,as majority of the foreign students are from China,they would look for some who got the "China-look",and there are cases where they identify the wrong person and choose a local chinese student,so the ambiance become amusing and awful.Everything run smoothly until the water droups on the ground.Heavy rain was the next challenge,having no choice,we walk in the rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at 12am.The second day,we were given an egg,and materials such as newapaper,straws....and were required to form a structure that guarantee the egg in good condition even when throwing it from third floor.It is an activity that greatly emphasize on brain-storming and creative thinking.The climax of activity is the moment where we need to throw the eggs group by group.The process is exiting because we only know the final result when we reveal the eggs.On the third day,we need to perform in the grand dinner which is depend on the task.Some were need to sing ,some act and some need to dance.Among all the perfomance,I think the most unforgatable one is the last performance which is a short drama that reflects human's growing process.In the end,we elected the Show king and queen ,prizes were given based on the goups'performances in the pass few days.Overall,I think the big bang has greatly improves my relationship with my schoolmates,and of course make more new friends.Last but not least,I appreciate the efforts that have been made by all the involving seniors,thanks for the memories that we share.
